Spring is coming? ....Where did Winter go?

by Lisa

Ok, so I guess I haven’t been so good at keeping you all updated. (Since my last entry was in late September, and it’s now February! Bad me!!) But with all the changes, obligations, illnesses and holidays that the fall brought with it, I just haven’t had a chance to work on my site like I was hoping to. With the new year comes the hope of better organization and a renewed outlook!

So let’s catch up.... Football season has now ended. (Way to go Packers! That’s for my brother-in-law.) My team, the Chiefs, managed to make it all the way to the playoffs, (Woo Hoo!) but got knocked out in the first round. (Hmmm....I’m thinking they if they would have actually SHOWED up for that game, it may have gone better. Sigh, but there’s always next year!)

The holidays were nice, but busy. Lots of parties and gatherings with friends and family. I did attempt to craft, but unfortunately just seemed to run out of time to get it all done. I’m not sure why it is, but I always seem to load my plate with much more than even a super hero could get done. Then get frustrated when I only get half of it done. (Really have to work on that!)

My “baby” graduated high school early, and moved out at the end of January. It’s been an interesting adjustment from her non-stop talking to my ultra quite house. One I am actually quite enjoying. It’s amazing how when I put something somewhere now, it’s still there when I go to get it! I’m sure I will start missing her at some point, but for now, I’m just enjoying the peace.

I’ve got some new ideas for my site, and am hoping to expand it by leaps and bounds this year. I’m really looking forward to learning new things and bringing them to you. I have an opportunity to teach a tatting class at my friend’s store, and am really looking forward to that. (I’ll be adding a new tatting section to my site soon, too.) Improvements, more projects, more newsletters and more fun!! I can’t wait!!

Until next time....

Lisa
