Characteristics of The
Chinese Element Metal
Those born in a year ruled by the Chinese element Metal will be as rigid and forceful as their sign will allow. They are self-reliant and determined. They pursue their objectives with intensity and very little hesitation. They are capable of prolonged efforts to create their desired destiny. They are very success oriented, and will go to great lengths to achieve it.
Once a course or path has been decided, they can’t be easily swayed or detoured. They easily overcome hardships, setbacks and even failures, while continuing on their original path to their goal. Due to their single-minded focus, they can be unreasonably stubborn about their destination even when faced with situations where the destination or goal is no longer feasible. If they still desire it, get out of their way! Their awe inspiring dedication and determination has the ability to create their desired outcome through sheer willpower. Metal will greatly enhance any perseverance and determination found in their own sign.

Positive Metal, the active or yang part, is felt through the desire to “do”. This more active part of this element is definitely felt by those who seem to “cut through” people to get what they want. (Such as with the use of a metaphoric sword.) This active part can also be felt by those who just take a more active role in creating their own destiny. Forcing and creating their own destinies through sheer will.
Negative Metal, the passive or yin part, is felt through the desire to be useful. This more passive part of this element is felt by those who become a conduit for others. Those who attain their own goals by being useful to another. They are just as determined and tough, but they employ their tactics a little differently.
